Zoe and "Elbo"

So we were walking around in Target today and out of nowhere Zoe starts shrieking "elbow" over and over (and I mean really loud.) Those of you with small children understand that deciphering toddler-speak is not an easy task, especially in public under the scrutiny of fellow shoppers. So I'm frantically looking around trying to figure out what the hell "elbow" is supposed to mean when I spy an Elmo doll at the end of a row a few aisles away. Now, Zoe has seen a little Sesame Street, but it really freaked me out that she knew who Elmo was out of context. As we got closer to the display, Zoe is boucing up and down in the cart and waving her hands wildly. I looked at her and said "Elmo?" And this child shot me a look like, duh Mom! Needless to say, we are now the proud owners of a new "Elbo" doll.

Here's a quick video of Zoe saying "Elbo."

Zoe's friend Gracie also has a thing for Elmo, only she calls him "Melmo." That little red monster sure has a way with the ladies :-)

It's not just the ladies...Shea seems to love "Melmo" too. He picks him out of anything when we go out.
