Holiday Weekend

We decided to take a quick little family vacation last week on the Cape. Despite the torrential rain that hounded us for most of our visit, we had a wonderful time. Zoe spent a lot of time in the pool, daddy was able to golf and we even managed to sneak out to the beach one morning.

On the 4th we went out to breakfast and Zoe enganged in her 2 new favorite meal time activities: eating everyone's meal but her own and swapping her little fork for mommy's big fork. But with a face like this....who cares, right?

Some more pictures from the weekend are here.

Canine Carbo Loading
While on our vacation, we made the colossal mistake of leaving the dog alone within paw's reach of some bread items. BIG mistake. In the short time we were gone, Emma managed to consume a sleeve of bagels, half a loaf of bread, and some some pita bread. The remaining items (pictured below) were literally hidden throughout the house. On the first floor of the house we found a package of bagels buried between 2 couch cushions and a package of lavash bread was under the bed pillows in the master bedroom. Upstairs, we found Rye bread behind a couch cushion and another loaf of bread was hidden behind a day bed in the office. I understand wanting to hide evidence or set aside a contraband snack for later, but did she seriously think we wouldn't look for all this stuff?
