Major Daycare Meltdown

Today was Zoe's first full day at daycare. We've been talking about school, reading books about it, picked out a lunchbox and she seemed really exited about going back. However, when it came time to drop her off this morning, the most dreaded, heart breaking scenario that I could imagine started to unfold in that classroom. She realized that I was about to leave and she clung to my neck and started sobbing. Through her tears, she said over and over again, "Mommy peeez no!" She wouldn't let go, so the teacher had to peel her off of me so that I could leave. I turned to wave and she was crying hysterically, reaching out for me. I managed to make it just outside the classroom before I turned into a puddle of tears.

I am counting the minutes until I can pick her up :-(
