1 Year Anniversary

It was 1 year ago today that we met our beautiful daughter for the first time. I will never forget the feeling of holding her for the first time. I still get butterflies today when I think about it.

It amazes me to see how much she's changed since she came home. Here's a look back at pictures of from the past year:

We celebrated our first family day anniversary with a wonderful trip to the Southwick Zoo. Zoe had a blast. The monkeys were by far her favorite. But for me, the best part of the visit was watching my danger girl daughter trying to hug a goat. Yes, hug a goat. The goat had no idea what to do. Apparently the poor fella had never been put in a head-lock by a toddler.

Unfortunately, the video camera wasn't rolling for the drive-by goat hug, but we did manage to capture the little varmit retaliating...by eating my shirt.

On the way home from the zoo, Zoe was exceptionally silly in the car and decided to make a snack out of her feet.
