Adventures in Potty Training: Day 2

Day two of the great potty training adventure was a messy one. We set the kitchen timer every 10 minutes or so and then every 5 minutes after she had a drink. We had quite a few accidents- but more importantly: 2 successful tinkles! Ok, so one was more like a few droplets, but we'll celebrate any little victory.

I think the challenge at this point is getting Zoe to recognize that she has to pee right before it starts, rather than while it's in progress. I know that she doesn't like being wet or dirty, because she asks to be changed immediately when wearing a diaper.

My mom is here from out of town to watch Zoe for the next couple of days because her school is closed. My poor mom picked the wrong week to visit. "Hi Mom, great to see you. Guess what? We're potty training!"
