Changing Every Day
It amazes me how much Zoë has changed in just a few weeks. When we first met her in China she was very quiet and serious. Now it's like someone has turned a light on inside her.
Here are a few of the highlights:
- She shakes her head "no" in response to everything. (Even though she doesn't know that it means "no" it's still pretty funny. )
- She smiles and giggles every morning when I go in to get her out of her crib. (I love that.)
- She rolls over on her own and spins around in her crib. I discovered this one night at 2:00 AM when I found feet where the head should have been. Ocassionaly she gets her little legs stuck in the crib slats (just like Gracie) and has to call for help.
- She tolerates 'tummy time' much better. She used to cry each time, but now she waves her little arms and legs like Superman.
- She's eating lots of new foods now, although formula is still the main event.
- She discovered her feet and her tongue. Now the feet spend a lot of time in the mouth and the tongue spends a lot of time out of the mouth.
- She has 2 teeth and an endless supply of drool.
- We realized that she tries to manipulate the new parents with a 'fake cry.' But we're on to her now. Here's the big faker in action. (I think it's the big grin at the end that gives it away.)
