Earthquake

My heart has been in my throat since I turned on the news this morning and heard about the massive earthquake that hit China. The 7.8 magnitude quake was centered in Sichuan province and has killed nearly 8,000 people so far.

Thank you to everyone who has called and emailed today to check in with us. As far as we know right now, there are no reports of major damage or serious injuries in Zoe's province (Jiangxi). But I will certainly feel better when I hear from our agency that everyone is ok.

Update:

M talked to his team in China (they are a short distance from Zoe's province) and beyond feeling a few aftershocks, they reported no damage or injuries in that area. I cannot wait to get our girl home...

I've been under a rock all morning and just heard about the earthquake now. My first thought was for Zoe's safety. I hope you get news from the agency soon to put your mind at ease.

Kristin - I'm sure Zoe is fine but I know how scared you must be. I hope the agency is able to get some news soon to ease your fears.

Hi Kristin! I just saw your post on Carrie's blog and figured out you must be a tech writer? Me too! Well, I manage a group now, so I don't really write any more...my staff won't let me!
